Meet the Counselor

I think most of you know me pretty well, as I have taught here for the past seven years. My love for children has brought me down several paths. As most of you know I was in the health care profession as a Nutritionist before becoming a teacher. I am an ordained minister, and received a Masters degree at Indiana University in the area of Reading/Writing Specialist prior to starting the Counseling program. All the things I have participated in leads to one idea, "healing, and well-being." I believe these things in my background, are tools I can use to help children in becoming well-rounded individuals.

The Counseling program at any school is so important, much like preventative medicine. Helping children learn strategies to succeed, and giving them a sense of safety, and well being, will aid in their academic performance as well. Should you have any questions for me about the program, you may leave a message in my school mailbox, E-mail me at ecorbin@bullitt.k12.ky.us or call the school (502-955-1729), and I will return your call. Everyone here is such a fabulous staff to work with, and I am so excited to be working with them in this capacity. Together, our school is making a difference in the lives of our children. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the team and for allowing me to come into the classrooms, while working on counseling needs of our students.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Corbin-Tipton
